Umberger snapped a 50-game scoreless drought and Wayne Simmonds got his 20th goal of the season to help the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 on Thursday night to end a three-game skid. Brayden Schenn, Michael Raffl and Nick Cousins also scored for Philadelphia, which scored four goals during a dominant second period. Cal Clutterbuck scored the winning goal in the shootout, lifting the New York Islanders to a 3-2 comeback victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night. Rickard Rakell had two goals, Chris Stewart scored on a penalty shot and Andrew Cogliano had an empty-netter to lead the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night. The Ducks responded to one of their worst defeats of the season - Monday's 6-2 blowout at Pittsburgh that snapped their six-game winning streak - with a strong game. Anaheim improved to 14-4-1 since Christmas while getting the victory in the second game of a seven-game road trip that will cover 7,300 miles in 13 days. More...

Milan Lucic scored in his return to Boston, Drew Doughty had a power-play goal for his 300th career point and the Los Angeles Kings had nine goal scorers in a 9-2 rout of the Bruins on Tuesday night.
