QMJHL Roundup: A look at Wednesday's games

RIMOUSKI, Que. - Peter Trainor scored the winning goal and Jacob Gervais-Chouinard made 31 saves as the Rimouski Oceanic beat the Val-d'Or Foreurs 4-3 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Wednesday.

Petr Straka, Jean-Francois Plante, with a short-handed goal, and Jerome Gauthier-Leduc also scored for the Oceanic (8-7-0).

Leduc leads all QMJHL defencemen in scoring and is tied for fourth among all skaters with 10 goals and 13 assists in 10 games. He has nine more points than his closest pursuers in the defenceman scoring race. Quebec defenceman Mikael Tam and Gatineau blue-liner Mathieu Gagnon each have 14 points.

Anthony Mantha, Cedrick Henley and Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux, on the power play, replied for the Foreurs (7-7-2).

Francois Tremblay stopped 27 shots for the Foreurs.
