After a bad road loss two nights earlier, the New York Islanders were glad to return home and get back to winning. Brock Nelson had a goal and an assist to key a three-goal second period and the Islanders beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 on Monday. Pavel Datsyuk scored twice to surpass 900 NHL points, and Henrik Zetterberg and Darren Helm also had two goals apiece to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a wild 6-5 victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday. Both teams blew two-goal leads before Danny DeKeyser's shot from the point deflected past goalie Jonas Gustavsson with 12:23 remaining in the game.
